As I’ve said many times, living in Las Vegas sure does have its perks. Especially with the field that I am in. I have many opportunities to experience life in excess. One of the most recent lavish experiences was a complimentary night stay in a suite at the Encore Resort with a $100 dining credit.
The hotel is gorgeous. It screams decadent at every turn. I was lucky enough to be placed on a very high floor (which is always a bonus in Las Vegas). The room itself is very spacious and has a very simple decor. It’s plenty of dark woods with white everywhere to emphasize the darkness. Other than the room being very large, I thought it very plain. But not in a bad way, in a simplistic, classic way. The highlight was probably the purple couch. It’s always nice to have plenty of room but if you are used to smaller hotel rooms, it can take a minute to get used to it. On the bright side, the bathroom is sweet and the bed is comfortable!
Once I was situated in the room, it was time to find a place to eat. The Wynn and Encore towers have no shortage of restaurants. However, I wanted to spend as much time in the room as possible so I opted to try their In Room Dining. Since I had the $100 to spend, I decided to go all out. The order included chips with dip and bread, a caesar chicken wrap, a steak and dessert of fresh beignets. Everything came up to about $110 including taxes. The food arrived very quickly with the friendliest server! He set our table and made us feel we were dining inside of a real restaurant. Except with a much better view! Overall, the food was excellent and I do not regret choosing to dine in instead of leaving the room.
My one night in the Encore was a very relaxing night. (Once I got over all the extra space in the room). It was the first complimentary staycation I have experienced where I didn’t need to leave the room once and I have to say, if you are going to pay Encore prices for a room, this may be the way to do it. The room and service makes you feel like you are living in the lap of luxury. I appreciate the invitation from the Wynn and Encore and if I am ever in the mood to treat myself, they are high on my list of resorts to stay at again.
